It has been a milestone week in our household! Friday was E's 3 month checkup. He weighed in at 11 lbs 15 oz and is up to the 27th percentile! Woo hoo! On Sunday he rolled over from front to back, twice! I also have noticed that his size 1 diapers have gotten tighter, and he is leaking out of them a bit more. So a bag of Seventh Generation Free & Clear diapers in size 2 arrived at the perfect time!
The first thing I noticed about them was the lack of color. They look very natural and are not full of cute cartoon characters. I was surprised at how soft they were - not as soft as some other brands but definitely softer than some I have tried. And no gross chemical smell. The diapers fit Baby E. perfectly and did not leak overnight! Really, the only thing i didn't like was the Velcro - I love that it is long, but that means it gets tucked behind the baby's body and is hard to open.
About Seventh Generation diapers: Free & Clear diapers do not include chlorine processing, fragrances, latex and petroleum based lotions. In an effort to contribute less overall landfill waste and continue to ensure a premium standard of absorbency, the new Free & Clear diapers have been redesigned with a lighter-weight core. With processed chlorine-free wood pulp in Free & Clear diapers, Seventh Generation also makes certain that no chlorine is released into the environment during the totally chlorine-free (TCF) whitening process of the diapers and training pants.
Don't forget - the $2 coupon is still available!

What I love about eco friendly baby products is that they are usually safer for my little ones... there are so many artificial things out there that we have no idea what harm they can cause long term, natural seems safer.
ReplyDeleteI love eco-friendly products because they're safer for my little ones and I know I'm contributing less to harm of the planet.

Because you tend to use baby products for a short period of time in the overall scheme of things, it's good to know that it won't stick around forever or completely destroy the environment as you move on with yours and your child's life.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like most about eco-friendly baby products is that they are all natural~no chemicals to harm baby's skin~that is so important to me.
